Latino perspectives
Definition
- Latino perspectives to communication theory have evolved from perspectives that considered the role of racism in the cultural, social, and political marginalization of Latinas/os in the United States to perspectives emphasizing the complexity of identity formation, in particular the roles of border culture, immigration, and transnationalism. In this, Latino perspectives evolve in parallel theoretical and historical axes. [Source: Encyclopedia of Communication Theory; Latino Perspectives]
