Learned Hand
Definition
- Learned Hand (1872–1961) was a federal appeals court judge noted for his brilliant legal acumen and incisive opinions, some of which involved the Fourth Amendment. Hand's decisions are valued as pieces of judicial literature and have been quoted more than most other lower court judges by legal scholars and the U.S. Supreme Court.
