Tulsa race riot

The Tulsa Race Riot took place on May 31 and June 1, 1921, in the economically prosperous Greenwood section of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Some 35 square blocks of Black-owned businesses and homes were burned to the ground, and more than 300 people were killed.
