- Tyco International, a global conglomerate, experienced a crisis in leadership and credibility in September 2002 when Chief Executive Officer Dennis Kozlowski and Chief Financial Officer Mark Swartz were arrested for misappropriating $170 million of the company's earnings and obtaining $430 million through fraudulent sale of stock.
