- Head coach of the Green Bay Packers football team In his ten seasons as a head coach, Vince Lombardi's NFL teams had a 105-35-6 regular season record and won nine of ten playoff games. His success had an enormous impact on football and the National Football League, and helped transform the game into the most popular professional sport in the United States.
