- Activism involves change and is usually a response to an organizational, social, and/or political issue. It may involve opposition to or support for a cause, and encompasses a range of activities, such as a strike, demonstration, or a round of e-mails or letters to express concerns and to influence political and organizational processes.It is often equated with protest or dissent and associated with leftist movements.
