Preferred term

administrative leadership

Definition

  • Although the terms leadership and administration may seem to be redundant, there is a subtle difference between them that is very important when used in discussing distributed learning. An administrator carries out or implements policies, whereas a leader influences behavior, often well beyond the boundaries where his or her behavior ceases.
