bilingual paraprofessionals
Definition
- Paraprofessionals emerged in the 1950s out of the occupational need to provide clerical support and assist teachers in the education of children. Since then, paraprofessionals in general and bilingual paraprofessionals in particular have played an essential role in the education of culturally and linguistically diverse children.
