demographic analysis
Definition
- In the United States, methods of demographic analysis have historically been used for measuring coverage trends between censuses and differences in coverage by age, sex, and race at the national level. Demographic analysis (DA) estimates support the notion of a long-term reduction in the census net undercount rate over the last sixty years, yet demographic analysis also indicates a persistent and disproportionate undercount of certain demographic groups (such as black men).
