Preferred term
dual-career couples
Definition
- The increased participation of dual-career couples within the workforce both reflects and affects gender relations in public and private spheres of life. These issues are addressed from two vantage points: management of the challenges of dual-career couples by the couples within their work environments, and employer efforts to enhance work/life satisfaction for employees in these life circumstances.
