higher education curriculum transformation
Definition
- Curriculum transformation is the process of creating new courses and curricula in all disciplines based on critical examination of knowledge about race, class, gender, disability, religion, class, sexual orientation, gender expression, and nationality. Emerging as a systemic educational change strategy in the late 1960s, curriculum transformation addresses both content integration and classroom pedagogy and contributes to diversity initiatives aimed at institutional transformation.
