journey to crime
Definition
- Journey to crime (JTC) is one of the better-researched aspects of crime in the crime and space literature. Research on JTC attempts to understand how offenders' movements in space factor into the discovery of unintended targets, leading to crimes of opportunity; into offenses planned by serious criminals taking steps toward known targets; and into purposive hunting patterns in areas thought to be target rich.
