- LARYNGEAL CANCER INVOLVES malignant cells occurring in the larynx. The larynx is composed of three parts: the supraglottis (an area above the vocal cords), the glottis (located in the middle of the larynx and containing the vocal cords), and the subglottis (which connects the vocal cords and the windpipe).
