- The frequency and scale of mergers and acquisitions (M&As) have increased continuously since the 1980s and M & are now a global phenomenon. Although most M&A activity is relatively well planned in relation to product line and operational and financial issues, the human side of it and its impact on jobs are often less anticipated.
