natural experiments and violence
Definition
- What are the effects of media violence on the aggressive attitudes and behavior of those exposed to it? This question has for several decades been the focus of a large body of research, but its importance was not anticipated until television had become ubiquitous. As a result, there have been few opportunities to address this question through before-and-after studies of natural experiments.
