Definition
- Organizational leadership is defined as “the ability of an individual to influence, motivate, and enable others to contribute toward the effectiveness and success of the organizations of which they are members,” according to Robert House et al. Leadership, as a general concept, is defined by Dean Keith Simonton as “an attribute of a group member whose influence on group attitudes, performance, or decision making greatly exceeds that of the average member of the group.” Combining these two definitions, organizational leadership could be described as the influence of a leader on the organization and its employees to motivate for success and better performance.
