population growth
Definition
- Population growth is defined as the balance between the number of people that enter a population (through births and immigration) and the number of people that leave the same population (through deaths and emigration) during the same period of time. If the number of entering people is greater than the number of leaving people, the population growth is positive, and the population size becomes greater over time.
