pregnant and parenting teens
Definition
- Despite a modest decline in teenage pregnancy rates from 1991 to 2010, issues facing pregnant and parenting teens persist as contemporary challenges within high schools in the United States. With approximately 1,100 females between the ages of 15 and 19 years giving birth each day, teenage pregnancy is the leading cause of school dropout among female students.
