Definition
- The sexualized taunting and abuse of American women in uniform was widely publicized during the last decades of the 20th century. The infamous Tailhook convention in 1991 was the most explosive incident in a series of military scandals that revealed sexual harassment—sometimes culminating in sexual assault—as a common feature of military life.
