Definition
- Strategic leadership is the process of showing others the way in order to protect and/or enhance the organization's alignment with its external environment. Because health care organizations are confronted with enormous changes in their environments through such things as changing customer demands, shifting government regulations, and new competitive threats, effective strategic leadership is essential to organizational survival and performance.
