Preferred term
team play
Definition
- Some commonly accepted synonyms for play are to engage in recreation, to take part in, or to cooperate with others. Freedom of choice happens to be an essential component of play, but how can team players be considered free enough to choose their options? Play, indistinctly presented as an individual or a team activity, is a self-justified action. [Source: Encyclopedia of Play in Today's Society; Team Play]
