  • ULTRAVIOLET B (UVB) radiation is both the primary source of vitamin D for most people on the earth and a source of radiation that damages the skin. The problem of getting the proper amount of UVB has been called a Goldilocks Paradox—too much or too little UVB may increase cancer risk.
