Definition
- The production of housing requires many skills including those of architects, builders, construction tradespeople, contractors, designers, builders, mortgage and real estate brokers, manufacturers, and bureaucrats. Occupational segregation informs and societal stereotypes reinforce women's roles in many of these professions, and both contribute strongly to existing workers in allied building fields resisting change.
