- Bruce Edward Wampold (born November 25,1948, in Olympia, Washington) is widely recognized for his research on psychotherapy process and outcome and his development of research methods and statistics. Wampold received his B.A. in mathematics from the University of Washington and taught junior and senior high school mathematics and coached wrestling for several years.
