Definition
- NONSTEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DRUGS (NSAIDS) are used to treat chronic pain, inflammation, and fever. Although effective, chronic use is associated with a high incidence of gastrointestinal side effects, such as dyspepsia, gastric pain, gastric or duodenal ulcers, and gastrointestinal bleeding.
