Definition
- The mission of the Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion (CNPP) is to improve the health of Americans by providing food and nutrition guidance, assessing diet quality, and advancing consumer, nutrition, and food economic knowledge. The CNPP was created in 1994 within the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and reports to the Office of the Under Secretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services.
