- THE CHAO FAMILY Comprehensive Cancer Center (CFCCC) is affiliated with the School of Medicine of the University of California, Irvine (UCI), and is located on the UCI campus in Orange, California. The CFCCC was designated a “clinical cancer center” in 1994 and a “comprehensive cancer center” in 1997 by the National Cancer Institute (NCI): the latter designation recognizes CFCCC excellence in laboratory, clinical, behavioral and population-based research, patient care and services, and outreach and education.
