David Berkowitz
Definition
- At the age of 24, serial murderer David Berkowitz terrorized New York City residents for more than a year until his apprehension in 1977. His rambling letters to police and to the media added to the public's fear of the bizarre motives and unpredictability of someone claiming to be acting on the orders of a demonically possessed dog.
