Definition
- THE EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION for Cancer Research (EACR), founded in 1968, is the largest cancer research organization in Europe, with over 5,000 members as of 2006. The purpose of the EACR is to advance the field of oncology in the areas of basic research, prevention, treatment, and clinical care and to improve both survival and the patient's quality of life.
