Definition
- The U.S. Census reports that since the turn of the 21st century Hispanics/Latinas(os) have become the largest racial/ethnic minority in the country. In 2003, Hispanics/Latinas(os) surpassed African Americans, who were then the largest racial and ethnic minority, reaching an unprecedented 13 percent of the U.S. racial/ethnic population.
