Hurricane Ike
Definition
- Hurricane Ike was the third most destructive tropical storm to make landfall in the United States, and the fifth named hurricane and ninth named tropical storm in the 2008 hurricane season. As a long-lived Cape Verde hurricane, it exerted a high toll in human lives and material damage along the coasts of the Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Haiti, Cuba, and the United States.
