- Marriage in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community is a broad and complicated topic. In the United States, the ability for same-sex couples to enter into legally recognized marriages is becoming more common both nationally and internationally, although the battle is ongoing and remains contentious.
