Definition
- As one of the last great Victorian naturalists and iconoclasts of the20th century, Leon C. Croizat explored conceptual and methodological questions in the fields of botany, zoology, biogeography, anthropology, evolution, taxonomy, archeology, linguistics, and philosophy. Few other20th-century biologists have had such a significant impact on the integration of evolution, systematics, and biogeography, the three principal elements of the historical sciences.
