Definition
- Malaysia is located on the southern part of the South Asian peninsula (between Thailand and Singapore), as well as on the northern third of the island of Borneo (bordering Indonesia and Brunei). It has a total area of 329,750 square kilometers and a population of 23 million people (July 2003 estimate), of whom two thirds live in the lowlands of Peninsular Malaysia.
