Marxist economics

Definition

  • Neither Karl Marx nor Friedrich Engels left a detailed explanation of the philosophical underpinnings of Marxist economics. Therefore, Marxist economists and other scholars of Marx's critique of political economy have had to interpret the philosophy at work in Marx's actual texts on economics, especially Capital, in order to understand and further develop Marxist economics.
