National Alternative Media Network
Definition
- The Red Nacional de Medios Alternativos (RNMA) was envisioned in 2004, almost 30 years after the beginning of the 1976–1983 military dictatorship in Argentina, in the southwestern city of Neuquén, where a conference proposed its formation. Its mission, defined at a subsequent 2005 conference of some 150 grassroots media activists in the western city of Mendoza, pivoted in many ways on the atrocities committed by the regime.
