National Council for Geographic Education
Definition
- The National Council for Geographic Education (NCGE) is a professional organization whose mission is to enhance the status and quality of geography teaching and learning. The NCGE has played an active role in advancing the place of geography in the American curriculum through workshops, publications, and grant-supported projects targeting underserved groups, research in geographic learning, use of technology, and in the preparation of teachers to introduce the subject of advanced-placement human geography.
