Polybius
Definition
- Polybius was one of the three greatest ancient Greek historians, along with Herodotus and Thucydides. Polybius agreed with them in writing history as a disciplined intellectual analysis of the past, rather than a mere chronicle of events or propaganda for a political purpose.
