Definition
- Portuguese Americans are immigrants and their descendants from Portugal, a country with an estimated population of 10.7 million people in 2007. Portugal is officially called the Portugal Republic and includes the Azores and Madeira Islands as well as Macao, a small territory on the coast of China.
