Resource Recovery Act
Definition
- The Resource Recovery Act of 1970 was an amendment to the 1965 Solid Waste Disposal Act, the first federal piece of legislation to deal with municipal solid waste (MSW) management. The new act, which provided $463 million to waste utilization efforts, reflected changing national priorities.
