Definition
- Rio+20 is the common name for the United Nations (UN) Conference on Sustainable Development, a global meeting to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in June 2012. Its goal is to discuss and potentially create international agreements on policies and political institutions that can help generate economic development in ways that are beneficial, or at least not destructive, to the environment.
