- LOCATED IN BUFFALO, New York, the Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) is the only Comprehensive Cancer Center in upstate New York, as designated by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The RPCI goal is simple: “To banish cancer.” Its mission is a dedication to “providing total care to the cancer patient; to conducting research into the causes, treatment and prevention of cancer; and to educating the public and the next generation of those who study and treat cancer.” Thus, the principle focus of the RPCI is to provide a caring environment for patients, loved ones, and faculty.
