Definition
- The first Slovak immigrants arrived in the United States in the 18th century, before the Revolutionary War. Slovak Americans are now the second-largest Slavic ethnic group in the United States, numbering 762,030 in the 2010 Census, although other sources claim the actual figure is 50 percent greater.
