Spare Rib Magazine
Definition
- The British feminist magazine Spare Rib started in 1972 as an “alternative” women's magazine. The name, which is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the biblical myth that women were fashioned from one of Adam's ribs, was deliberately light-hearted.
