  • The United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) is a test that provides state medical boards across the country with a tool to determine whether to grant an individual a license to practice medicine in a particular state. Throughout the United States and its territories, individual state medical licensing boards have the authority to create their own requirements for medical licensure.
