- VANUATU IS A country located in the South Pacific Ocean, composed of an archipelago of 83 volcanic islands with a population around 220,000. It has been a global leader in the development of renewable resources for sustained energy.Vanuatu is governed by a parliamentary democracy, with the prime minister, elected by Parliament, being the leader of the government.Its economy is primarily agricultural, with 80 percent of the population engaged in agricultural activities.
