  • Antiracist education emerged as dissatisfaction with, and is distinct from, multicultural education, which emphasizes cultural awareness as the means to achieve racial harmony. Antiracist educators characterize multicultural education as a deracialized discourse that understands only superficially the processes that create and perpetuate racism.
