Definition
- Brown lung, or byssinosis, is a form of pneumoconiosis that develops from inhalation of cotton dust. Other forms of pneumoconiosis include black lung (from coal dust), silicosis (from crystalline silica dust), and asbestosis (from asbestos fibers).
