business management
Definition
- Leadership theories and practices in business management have changed dramatically since the 1950s, from hierarchical command and control within single organizations to participative, consultative, and collaborative styles within and among organizational networks. Changes were driven by the increasing complexity of modern business organizations, the emergence of interdependent supply chains, relentless technological innovation, and the shift from manual-labor-based to knowledge-based productivity.
