children of migrant farm workers
Definition
- Migrant farm workers are individuals who generally originate from Mexico or other Central American countries and come to the United States with a work visa to farm for a season and then return to their home countries. Although the number of migrant farm workers is difficult to quantify because of the transient nature of this population, experts believe that approximately 4 million farm workers live in the United States.
